Generally going by the simpler 'Leela', Turanga Leela is the captain of the Planet Express ship, flying dangerous missions across the galaxy to ensure that packages are delivered on time. Found to be the most normal-looking of New New York's sewer-dwelling mutants, her parents left her at an orphanage to give her a chance at a normal life. From there she studied martial arts, honed her skills and finally applied them to a delivery position under Dr. Farnsworth at Planet Express.
